阅读第一篇：威尼斯水资源问题，缺饮用水
第一段：
问题：有一个外国人说water to the mouth but they feel thirsty 问这句话什么作用?
第二段：淡水资源还是够用。然后canal如果持续被污染肯定不行。政府obliged to采取行动。让染坊之类搬到外面去。thanks to their resistance, infractions are many： not common law practice.但后来还是搬出去了。这里有题。
第三段：原来威尼斯人用well后来人多了不够用开始用ciscern（不确定是不是这样拼）
第四段：ciscern is both phsically and socially sophisticate
第五段：即使这样问题还是没解决，要从 parallel resource来取水，有题。但要彻底解决问题又太贵。

What is more important, we areastonished and impressed by the fact that the Great Wall is the production ofmillions of industrious Chinese workers. It is the Great Wall that symbolizesthe bravery and wisdom of Chinese people. Not only could we foster nation prideby learning history, but also we tend to appreciate the foreign cultures andvalue. For example, when we talk about Statue of Liberty, it could easilyassociate with American Revolution, which American colonies struggle for civilliberty leading to the foundation of a new nation.
Theseare fairly precious experiences that learn from history when people deal withcomplex problems. Since neglecting the environmental pollution during economicdevelopment had punished human beings, a number of countries begin to focus onpollution and take efficient measures to protect the environment. For instance,Great Smog, a notable event of air pollution, caused the death of at least4,000 Londoners and compels the governments to make regulations restricting theuse of dirty fuels in industry and banning black smoke. Only when people reallyrealize the importance of historical experiences and lessons can people bettersolve complex problems efficiently.
Admittedly,by maintaining that history is significant for us, I do not attend to ignorethe disadvantage of being addicted to history that it can make you loseyourself. However, if we let history guide us and learn lessons from it, a lotof problems will be solved easily.
Inconclusion, students would be beneficial to learning history with profoundunderstanding of the culture of one country as well as obtaining abundantexperience for their problems-solving skills.
