The reason is that governments and enterprizes devote large amounts of money to developing scientific technology while others can use these technologies without paying any efforts.) For example , it is commonly known that America ranks as the most creative nations with hundreds of new inventions being patented per year in the world. What is unknown to us is that the startling amounts of money invested in scientific fields. According to the annual financial report of the U.S., billions of dollars are spent in building research centers, paying senior scientists and purchasing delicate equipments, which is remarkably higher than that of other nations. And these new inventions bring great revenues for America to counteract the high cost. The same is true of companies. Take Apple Corporation for example. Apple Company allocates a large sum of dollars to invent its own operating system for iPhone and iPad, which makes these products competitive in quality. Can you imageadine the situation where Apple shares its operating system with its competitors such as Samsung.
